Down to the smallest detail.
There are literally no chippings left over from the tree.
-
The processing of a felled tree literally leaves no chippings behind. The production of sawn timber is the first step in wood processing. The bark is used as mulch or a source of energy.
Wood chips serve as raw material for the wood processing industry (e.g. for the production of pulp, board manufacturers) or as fuel (e.g. for combined heat and power stations or for wood chip heating systems). -
And the wood shavings continue their career either in the production of chipboards or as pellets for the production of energy. As compressed wood pellets they develop intensive calorific power and burn with low emissions, so that they are climate-friendly.
